The drawers we currently use for storing the patient files don’t have slots for individual charts. The papers are just stacked in drawers and as one chart is pulled out, the others become disorganized. Frequently charts are lost and the care of the patient is disrupted.
We plan to install filing cabinets to replace our wooden drawers. This will help keep the charts alphabetized and decrease the number of charts lost. With better records, we can serve our patients better.
